Support the fight against avoidable blindness

We offer a view on a brighter future

More than 4.5 million people in sub-Saharan Africa suffer from avoidable blindness. More than 1.2 million children worldwide are blind. And that's only because they don't have access to quality eye care. Unfair and unacceptable, don't you think?

For over 25 years, Lumière pour le Monde has been fighting avoidable blindness in the DR Congo, Rwanda and Tanzania. Working with partner organizations in Africa, we provide quality eye care and ensure that visually impaired children can go to school.

We make eye care accessible to all. With the help of local experts and partners, we support various eye clinics, develop quality infrastructures and train staff.

Our education programs focus on inclusive education: visually impaired children attend school alongside their sighted peers. This promotes integration and breaks down stigma.

Thanks to your donation, you're making a difference for many people with eye problems. Every contribution counts, large or small. Donate now.
